AlascA is een folkband uit Volendam die in februari 2012 het debuutalbum Actors & Liars uitbrengt. Leo Blokhuis doopt de band tot de muzikale belofte van 2012 en Radio 2 benoemt de band in februari 2013 tot Radio 2 Talent.
Debuut
In 2010 is de band finalist van de Grote Prijs. In februari 2012 brengt de band het debuutalbum Actors & Liars uit. Voor dat album werkt AlascA samen met de Britse producer Alan Branch. De producer heeft een Grammy op zak voor zijn werk met Jeff Beck en heeft samengewerkt met onder andere U2, Blur, Cat Stevens en Sinead O’Connor.
Talent
In februari 2013 wordt bekendgemaakt dat AlascA het nieuwe Radio 2 Talent is.
